This one is a complete redesign of one of my earliest ship designs. Initially posted [link] , and later re-rendered and re-posted [link]
I've been working on this one much much longer than I would like to admit, and I am still not absolutely satisfied with it. Tried out a new render method this time around, would love to know what you lot think of the results. As always, C&C or commentary on the ship and modeling is very welcome. Cheer's, FC __________ *EDIT* Scince people are asking, the render method is pretty simple software used is 3dsmax9 material colour is roughly 50% grey with a crimson spec colour lights in the scene: directional spot on the nearside with a orange-ish colour, directional spot on the far side of lower intensity with a blue-ish colour, single skylight above the model exposure control 'tweaks' are responsible for the quality of shadows |

crusading failure one success at a time
One thing I noticed kinda early on was that her hull seems very "smooth" and the turrents turn that smooth feeling into something spiky. I'm not sure if there's any way to avoid that, but I thought I might as well put it out there.
