This is something of a challenge.

In the attempt to better design space-faring warships in the 10-100km+ length/width/height range.

How would you;

First visually illustrate size/scale aesthetically?

Visually represent weapon systems meant to fight on such a scale?

Represent ships built to support and survive weapons on such a scale?

Should their weapons distribution be focused to one firing arc? Or be equal to all firing arc's? Or a blend of the two (how would you blend this)?

Using facing and sloped armor principals how would you layout the structure of the ship?

How would YOU represent all of these?

In the actual scale of space 100km is minuscule. Most modern cars can cover that distance in less than 1 hour, aircraft do it in minutes, existing spacecraft do it in seconds.

I'm so horrifically far behind on comment/watches/fav's that it is simply pathetic....

Sadly in order to catch up I'm not going to be able to respond to all of you, and for that I apologize very very sincerely.

There will be new pretties soon, and I really do appreciate all of the continued support.

I felt i would throw up a update, get rid of that 'in teh UK' that is uselessly wasteing page space.

As most of you are not likely to know, almost all of my time has been going into a company i recently started called NeverAsk Inc. The company will be offering a wide variety of media services for web and broadcast in jsut about every artistic feild we could think of. As we are in our startup stages, i wont be knocking on anyones door for recruitment just yet, but eventually, i plan to be approaching a few of you to see if you are interested.

As a unfortunate side effect i have not had a whole lot of time to post or let alone create content for posting here on DA. i have been sqeezing in time on a few pieces of eyecandy that will be meeting your eyes as soon as they are complete.

Massive thanks to all of you for your kind words and support, not to mention all of the fav's and watches. there is much much more soon to come, just wanted to let everyone know that i have not forgotten about DA, even if it looks like i have been ignoreing it.
